THE PRACTICE
since january 2019 i have been writing poetry + creating a videoperformance every day. the work is published online. the consistency is an core aspect of the practice. the videoperformance is based on movement improvisation.
ARTIST STATEMENT
my work offers a place for contemplation upon our existence. it suggests the artistic practice as the collective processing of life. this work is an invitation to be. to understand the connection to our selves as the gateway for connection our environment. i see art as a form of energetic work. it has the power to shift frequency + is the alchemical process of giving form to the ethereal. making this work is a necessity.
THE SERVICE
EPHEMERIS installation: covering a space with texts, changes the frequency of a space, appreciates the aesthetics of my poetry + shows the enormity of this work. people are allowed to take poems with them. installations are impermanent. the tape leaves no traces.
EPHEMERIS performance (interactive): creating the videoperformance of the given day together with an audience by incorporating them for the sound, the camera or possibly even the performance.
EPHEMERIS guidance: this is a workshop format in which i guide people through a practice of merging movement with self-reflective writing. the movement practice is leaning on elements of yoga, dance + other somatic techniques, focusing on harmonising the body. the practice ends with a guided movement improvisation.
EPHEMERIS collaboration: since the artistic practice of PROJECT EPHEMERIS is highly adaptive, there is the option of inviting in other artists. a musician who offers the soundtrack, a location which is portrayed through the videoperformance, a person who offers the costume, one or several other performers - i love great ideas – invite me into your orbit!
